Bobi, a 30-year-old dog, has set a world record by becoming the oldest living dog and the oldest dog in history according to Guinness World Records.
Bobi, a Portuguese Rafeiro do Alentejo dog, has lived past its 12-14 year life expectancy by 30 years and is recognized as the oldest dog by GWR.
According to GWR, Bobi was raised as a sociable dog with many other animals and had the freedom to roam the forests and farmland near his home.
As Bobi has aged, he has become less active and has trouble walking. His declining eyesight has also caused him to bump into objects.
Leonel Costa stated in a statement that Bobi has been a warrior throughout his life. Costa was just 8 years old when Bobi was born on May 11, 1992.
Costa stated that despite his older age, routine examinations at the veterinarian "have always revealed that Bobi is doing well."
