The winners of the prestigious Sony World Photography Awards for 2020 were on 15th April 2020. Organized by the World Photography Organization, this competition recognizes the best single images across ten categories such as Culture, Motion, Landscape, Natural World & Wildlife, Street Photography, and Travel, among many others.
The winners of these ten categories will now compete for the overall prize of $5,000, whose winner will be announced online on 9th June 2020.
Currently in its 13th year, this is one of the most coveted and renowned photography awards in the world.

Landscape
Craig McGowan from Australia won the award in the Landscape category for his image of an iceberg in Northeast Greenland National Park.

Culture
Antoine Veling from Australia won the award in the Culture category for this brilliant image of fans on stage at an Iggy Pop concert in the Sydney Opera House.

Wildlife
Guofei Li from China won the award in the Wildlife category for this captivating image of two cheetahs in Botswana grooming each other.

Street Photography
Santiago Mesa from Colombia won the award in the Street Photography Category for this poignant photograph of a protester in the city of Medellin, Colombia.
