What happens when two young powerhouses meet?

It is a moment to remember for the entire world!

Teenage climate activist Greta Thunberg met with women education activist Malala Yousufzai at the University of Oxford in Britain recently. The two met to discuss their activism at Lady Margaret Hall at Oxford College.

Yousufzai, 22, who shot to worldwide fame when she was shot in the head in 2012 by the Taliban in retaliation for her activism on girl education, is currently pursuing her education at Oxford, studying politics, philosophy, and economics.

Thunberg, who has been a vocal climate activist, is currently in the United Kingdom to take part in a school strike to be held in Bristol.

Malala is the youngest recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize, winning the award in 2014 when she was merely a teenager. Thunberg has been nominated for the same in both 2019 and 2020.

Malala put up an endearing picture of the two sitting on a bench with their arms around each other on Twitter, with a caption that said, “She’s the only friend I’d skip school for.”

Meanwhile, Greta also took to Twitter to post their picture together, saying “today I met my role model. What else can I say.”

The pictures have been shared and liked widely on social media, reinforcing how loved and respected these two powerhouses are!

Isn’t this just beautiful? Two women who believed that they could change the world, and they did!
