Google brought about more awareness about the practice of social distancing by creating a thoughtful animated doodle today.

The doodle features all alphabets of the word ‘Google’ engaged in some interesting activities at home. So, while one is enjoying reading a book, another is exercising with dumbbells at home, and yet another is playing a guitar at home. A few others are catching up with near and dear ones through their phone. The doodle also gives an important and profound message: Stay Home. Stay Lives.

Various studies across the world have repeatedly pointed at the social distancing as an effective remedy to combat and contain the spread of the coronavirus.

Clicking on the doodle takes you to a page where extensive information with respect to symptoms, prevention, treatments, and statistics of the coronavirus are listed.

The doodle also lists a series of five steps that the general public can follow to help stop the coronavirus. They are:

  1. STAY home
  2. KEEP a safe distance
  3. WASH hands often
  4. COVER your cough
  5. SICK? Call the helpline

Also, it gives out some information on the do’s and don’ts with respect to preventing COVID-19. The do’s include washing hands regularly for a period of 20 seconds, covering nose and mouth when sneezing and coughing, avoiding close contact with anyone that is unwell, and staying home and self-isolating when feeling unwell. The don’ts include touching eyes, nose, or mouth with unclean hands.

Have you checked out the doodle yet? If not, please click here.
