A Chinese television station has invited a Cambodian boy and family to visit Beijing and do a show after his YouTube video of conversing in several languages went viral. The video shows the ten-year-old Thaksin, who is a souvenir seller at Angkor Wat, speaking several languages including Cantonese, Mandarin, Japanese, Thai, Malaysian, Tagalog, English, Spanish, and French. He speaks at least 12 languages, a report says. Chinese social media users were impressed by his singing of a popular Chinese song, where he deliberately changed the lyrics to mean “we are here selling things to you” from “we are here waiting for you.”
