“Never stop standing up for what is right,” said Hillary Clinton to the 8-year-old Martha Kennedy Morales, who lost her school election. Intending to cheer up the Maryland girl who lost a school election for class president by one vote, the former U.S Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton penned down a motivating letter back in December 2018. The high-powered encouragement letter from the Former Secretary of State took her by a pleasant surprise.

Clinton too lost the presidential election to Donald Trump in 2016, so she extended her wisdom to the little one. Clinton wrote, “As I know too well, it’s not easy when you stand up and put yourself in contention for a role that’s only been sought by boys.”

An overwhelmed Martha told CNN that she really felt touched that Hillary Clinton herself sent her a letter. She also said that she was elated because it doesn’t happen every day. Clinton found out about Martha’s candidacy for class president from a Facebook post written by the girl’s father, Albert Morales. In the post, he had written that his daughter secured the position of Class Vice President after narrowly losing the election.

Clinton started off by congratulating Martha on being elected Vice President and asked her not to lose heart on not winning the Presidential post. Rather, Clinton was all praise for Martha’s confidence in deciding to sign up for the Presidential candidacy.

Clinton told Martha that she will continue to learn in the years ahead and grow in the process. She identified Martha’s great leadership qualities and asked her to seek the right opportunities to become one.

Isn’t that some wonderful advice from someone who has been there and done that?
