This is a massive win for the women candidates across the political spectrum.

Americans voted to power a record number of women to the US House of Representatives in the midterm elections: close to 100 women were elected. Several firsts were seen in the polls as two Muslim women, the youngest woman ever, and first openly gay governor were elected to the Congress.
