The Unicode Consortium, the organization responsible for managing emojis, released new emojis for 2019 recently.

The consortium has released 59 new emojis, a total of 230 if one counts the variations in terms of gender and colour. The company gave a peek into the new emojis, and they have already created quite a stir.

The new emojis are going to be more inclusive. They include many new animals, foods, people with disabilities, and interracial couples. It also has an emoji for ringed planet, drop of blood, and mechanical limbs.

Emojis are quite popular with social media users. They manage to convey emotions and messages with a single icon. The last released versions had included different skin tones for people. These new ones have gender-inclusive emojis with mixed skin tones. So you will see a man and man holding hands, woman and woman holding hands, man and woman holding hands, and all these are in mixed skin colours.

For the first time, the emojis have included the differently abled as well. It has different kinds of wheelchairs, and people sitting on different wheelchairs. It even has a probing cane (used by visually impaired) and an ear with a hearing aid.

There are lots of new animals as well. From service dogs to orangutans, flamingos and otters, the new emojis will sure make animal lovers happy. And Indians across the world can rejoice for the emojis feature sari, a Hindu temple and an auto rickshaw!

And the most feared newly released emoji has got to be the yawning face. So, next time you post something boring be ready to get one!

What do you think of these new emojis? Do let us know.
