Brace yourself for a new Twitter record! The most retweeted tweet of all time now belongs to Japanese billionaire, Yusaku Maezawa, the founder of the Japanese e-commerce company Zozo Inc. Maezawa promised to share 100 million yen ($920800!) between 100 randomly selected retweeters of his tweet. And this sent Twitter users into a frenzy, who retweeted the tweet more than 5.5 million times!

Apparently, Maezawa was extremely happy that Zozo sold merchandise worth 10 billion yen during its Christmas and New Year sale and wanted to show gratitude by giving away this prize money.
