Sigrid Maurer, a former member of Austria’s parliament, was convicted by a judge at the Regional court for Criminal Matters, Vienna, over the charges of libel.
She accused a store owner of sending her obscene messages on Facebook, however she failed to prove it in the court.
Notably, Maurer 33, is an advocate of Women’s right.
