Former President of the United States of America, George Bush posted a picture of himself delivering pizzas to his Secret Service detail amid the government shutdown. The 43rd President of the US put the picture on Instagram, urging leaders of both sides to keep politics aside and end the shutdown.

Due to the shutdown, around 800,000 federal workers have not been receiving their paychecks. Among these are some 6,000 Secret Service employees. This shutdown, which is now nearing a month, is the longest in the history of the US government. The primary reason for it is a deadlock between the Democrats and Republicans over President Donald Trump’s proposal to include 5.7 million dollars in the government’s spending budget to build a border wall.
Notably, in the eight years that President Bush was in power, he did not face a single government shutdown.
