Former President of the United States, Barack Obama was announced the most admired man in the world by the annual poll conducted by Gallup. This is the 11th time that he won this honour. He garnered 19% of the total votes. Current President Donald Trump stood second whereas former President George W Bush stood third.
Interestingly, his better half Michelle Obama was chosen as the most admired woman, winning a whopping 15% of the votes. She was followed by talk-show host and philanthropist Oprah Winfrey. Ex-presidential candidate and former first lady, Hillary Clinton stood third. However, Hillary Clinton had won the honour for 17 consecutive years before she was displaced this year.
This poll by Gallup has been conducted annually since 1946.
Considering the results of this poll, it certainly seems like the Obamas are extremely loved and admired.
