Victoria’s Secret holds its Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show every year and it is watched by millions across the world. Despite all the glamour and bling, there is one conspicuous missing factor – body diversity. One hardly sees any plus-sized or transgender models walking the ramp. Furthering the point, Ed Razek, the Chief Marketing Officer of L Brands, the owner of Victoria’s Secret, had refuted the idea of transgender models participating in Victoria’s Secret fashion shows, justifying his stance by calling the show a ‘fantasy.’

Needless to say, not many were impressed by this statement, one of whom was former ‘America’s Top Model’ contestant Khrystyana Kazakova. She strongly believed that plus size and transgender models too should be given a chance.

Kazakova, hence, took it upon itself to organize a guerilla-style lingerie event with an inclusive casting. Over 200 women of all backgrounds – age, gender, nationality – thronged Times Square to be a part of the event. What’s more, women from Italy, London, Melbourne, and Canada too flew down to participate in the event. No wonder, it made people believe that beauty is all about being yourself, not being flawless.
