World Teachers’ Day is observed on 5th October each year by the United Nations. This day marks the anniversary of the adoption of the 1966 ILO/UNESCO Recommendation concerning the Status of Teachers. According to the official website of the UN, this Recommendation sets benchmarks regarding the rights and responsibilities of teachers and standards for their initial preparation and further education, recruitment, employment, and teaching and learning conditions.
Teaching, undoubtedly, is one of the most rewarding professions. However, it is also one of the most crucial ones for the development of society.
