This festive season is the most anticipated and loved time of the year. Everything seems bright and beautiful and the happiness all around is palpable.
However, for some, the holiday season is not as bright and happy. And one such group of people is parents whose newborns are in the intensive care in hospitals for their medical conditions. For such parents, this time can be distressing, and even harrowing.
But the Baylor Scott & White Hospital in Texas brought about some much needed cheer to such parents by dressing up their children in beautiful Christmas wear.
Over twenty children in the neonatal intensive care unit of the hospital participated in what the hospital called its “TINIEST TEXANS™ Ugly Sweater Edition” event.
“Even in the ugliest holiday sweaters, these babies prove that good things come in small packages,” the hospital wrote on its website. “The most wonderful time of the year is made complete with these bundles of joy, who are sure to make it on Santa’s nice list.”
So, the children were dressed in adorable Christmas props ranging from embellished gifts on pullovers to crochet Santa hats. One of the cute babies was even tucked in a stocking! Reindeers, Christmas trees, and snowmen were seen aplenty in all the costumes!!
And, needless to say, the babies looked delightful!
