While most photographs circulated on social media show pictures and videos of the police and authorities using brutal force against protesters in the United States demonstrating against the death of George Floyd in police custody in Minnesota, there were also some heartening pictures and videos going around social media that showed the humane side of the police.
In some cities of the United States, police squads joined the protesters to express their solidarity with the anti-racist movement that has take the nation by a storm.
For instance, police officers in Coral Gables, Florida, knelt during a rally in response to the death of George Floyd.

In Santa Cruz, California, hundreds gathered on Pacific Avenue to protest police violence against the African Americans. Police chief Andy Mills knelt along with protesters to show solidarity, with the Santa Cruz Police’s official Twitter account sharing a picture of the same.

Further, in a protest in Camden in New Jersey, the police helped carry a banner that read ‘Standing in Solidarity’ and marched with the protesters, who were seen chanting ‘No justice, no peace!’
In Camden, NJ, protestors took to the streets to peacefully protest racial injustice.
When police saw them marching, they did something.

Showing a strong message of unity in Fargo in North Dakota, a police officer was seen holding hands with protest organizers and holding up a sign that read, “We are one race . . . The HUMAN race.”

Also, police officers in Ferguson, Missouri took the knee to pay their respect and honor to the memory of George Floyd as the protest organizer called for a 9 and a half minute kneel.
