Doctor’s dance to cheer COVID-19 patients goes viral

The healthcare workers that are at the frontline of the battle with the coronavirus pandemic are real superheroes. Not worrying about their health and well being, they are doing all they can to ensure that the community is safe.

And apart from just treating patients, they are also going the extra mile to spread cheer among the despondent patients. Earlier, we had written about how a Chilean nurse played the violin to assuage the anxiety of COVID-19 patients.

And now, a doctor’s dance in the north-eastern state of Assam in India to cheer his COVID patients has gone viral!

Doctor Arup Senapati is an ENT surgeon at the Silchar Medical College in Assam and he has made it his mission to make the world a happier place.

Senapati was recently captured dancing to a peppy song called ‘Ghunghroo’ from the Bollywood movie ‘War’ in his PPE kit to make his patients smile. The video was shared by his colleague Dr. Syed Faizan Ahmad on Twitter.

And Senapati’s dance moves were so amazing that the video soon went viral, receiving thousands of likes and shares on social media.

Apart from his fantastic dance moves, Senapati also received much acclaim for his efforts to create a positive atmosphere in these gloomy times.

The video went so viral that Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan, on whom the song is pictured, also sent a message for Senapati on Twitter.

“Tell Dr Arup I’m gonna learn his steps and dance as good as him someday in Assam . Terrific spirit,” the star tweeted.
