Like any other teenager, 15-year-old Tommy Hardy from Haverhill, Massachusetts loves Halloween! He loves dressing up in interesting costumes and getting all the attention.

However, unlike many other teenagers, Tommy is affected by cerebral palsy and autism. He is legally blind and non-verbal too and uses a wheelchair.

But, when Tommy was born, his parents pledged to treat their son like another other child and not discriminate. Also, this condition absolutely does not stop his father, Tom Hardy from creating ingenious costumes for his son each Halloween. Every year, Tom transforms Tommy’s wheelchair into custom-made, mindblowing costumes. Don’t believe us? Read on…

This year, Tom and his friends have spent around 100 hours in creating Tommy’s costume – Tommy will pilot the world’s fastest aircraft this year, a U. S Air Force SR-71 Blackbird jet. They spent hours handcrafting the jet from wood and other parts from Tom’s garage. And lo and behold! They came up with something magical!

This costume is also a tribute to Tom’s parents, who were both Air Force veterans. Unfortunately, both of them passed away earlier this year. Interestingly, the photos of Tommy’s grandparents adorns the dashboard of Tommy’s cockpit! And why not! They loved seeing Tommy in his Halloween costume each year.

In the past few years for Halloween, Tommy has been an X-wing fighter from Star Wars, has stopped traffic in a police car, and rode the dragon from Game of Thrones!

Have a look at Tom dressed as the Night King and Tommy riding the dragon from Game of Thrones! Very often, the father and son dress up as a duo.

Tom began customizing Tommy’s Halloween outfits earlier because many costume makers did not make costumes for kids on a wheelchair. However, now, it has become more of a tradition for Tom!

And we are not complaining. More power to fathers like Tom!
