In these times of social isolation and quarantine, 93-year-old Olive Veronesi of Seminole, Pennsylvania was facing a unique and a serious problem. She was running out of her supply of beers!
“I was on my last 12 cans, I have a beer every night, you know what, beer has vitamins in it, it’s good for you, as long as you don’t overdo it,” she told Pittsburgh CBS affiliate KDKA TV.
So, Veronesi came up with a interesting solution – she got one of her relatives to photograph her standing on her window with a placard in her hand that carried a message for the world: “I need more beer!!”
Interestingly, Veronesi was also holding her favorite beer in her other hand in the photograph – Coors Light.
The photograph was uploaded to the Facebook page of a local TV station and, as expected, it went viral! Since then, it has been seen by more than a million people and liked thousands of times.
As a result of this, many people offered to get beers in for Olive. However, the icing on the cake was when Coors Light delivered a whopping 150 cans to her door. This is enough supply to last her a whole five months!
