Motherhood is not easy but we know that mothers are omnipotent! While once marriage and motherhood were considered as stages where a woman’s career would end, today, they are viewed as new beginnings.

There are multiple women across the world that are juggling between motherhood and a successful career.

And here is another star mother who is proving the same.

Former world number one player, Kim Clijsters, 36, announced her second comeback to the world of tennis recently. The Belgian shared a video with her followers on Twitter announcing her return to the WTA Tour in 2020. And her fans couldn’t be happier.

Minutes after she posted the message, thousands of her fans across the world welcomed her back to the world of tennis.

Clijsters, who has won six grand slam singles and doubles titles, had first retired from professional tennis in 2007 to start her family. She, then, returned to tennis in 2009 and won three more grand slams before retiring again in 2012. The 36-year-old has now announced a comeback by January next year.

A mother of three, Clijsters married basketball player Brian Lynch in 2007. She had her baby girl Jada in 2008. Her first son Jack was born in 2013 and her second son Blake was born in 2016.

Post her second retirement, she worked at her tennis academy and also as a commentator.

The beautiful video that she shared online showed glimpses of her family life, her training sessions, and ends with ‘See you in 2020.’

“Kim Clijsters ranks among the greats of the game and her return to the Tour is exciting news for the WTA family and tennis fans around the world,” said WTA chairman Steve Simon.

The first woman from Belgium to reach the number one spot, Clijsters said, “My goal right now is to be able to be fit enough to compete at the highest level and then if you get to that stage, let’s see if I can get to the second stage of a Grand Slam.

“I will continue to push myself each goal I set.”

Wishing this super mom the very best for her new innings!
