It was the biggest night in Hollywood!

The 92nd Academy Awards were held on 10th February at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, California. And the night certainly threw quite a few surprises.

The South Korean social satirical movie Parasite won the Academy Award for the Best Film, creating history by becoming the first non-English language film to win the top honours at the Oscars.

Parasite won big at the Awards: the movie won four awards in total including the Best Director for Bong Joon-ho and the Best Original Screenplay. It was followed by the World War I drama 1917, which won three awards.

In the acting category, Joaquin Phoenix won the Best Actor Award for his performance in Joker while Renee Zellweger won the Best Actress Award for playing Judy Garland in Judy. Meanwhile, Brad Pitt won the award for the Best Supporting Actor for his role in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, winning his first Academy Award ever. Laura Dern scooped the award for the Best Supporting Actress for her role in Marriage Story.
