The Obama family are a force to reckon with.

While Barack Obama is revered across the world for being one of the most dignified, intelligent, and honourable politicans, his wife Michelle Obama is a role model for women.

And Michelle Obama added another feather to her cap at the 2020 Grammy Awards.

She won the Grammy Award for the Best Spoken Word Album for the audio book of her memoir, ‘Becoming.’ She beat a host of other rivals such as Micheal Diamond and Adam Horovitz of the Beastie Boys, as well as John Waters to grab the award.

Released in late 2018, Becoming was the best-selling hardcover book of 2018, selling more than 725,000 copies on its first day. In the book, the former FLOTUS discussed a host of issues ranging from a miscarriage to marriage counselling.

But, she is not the only one in the family to have won a Grammy. Barack Obama won two Grammys in the same category in 2006 and 2008 for his books ‘Dreams from my Father’ and ‘The Audacity of Hope’ respectively.

Interestingly, former FLOTUS Hillary Clinton also won the award in the same category in 1997 for her book ‘It takes a Village.’ President Bill Clinton and President Jimmy Carter have also won the award before.

All our wishes to Michelle Obama on this win! We wish and pray that she continue to inspire and motivate women for many years to come.
